**BOBBY Istana or BOBBY Kertanegara ?**

$BOBBY started as a street cat adopted by [Prabowo Subianto](https://prabowosubianto.com), the Chairman of the Party and Indonesia’s Defense Minister during the 2019-2024 term. Fast forward to 2024, Prabowo is set to become the next President of Indonesia, with his inauguration scheduled for October 20.

Back to $BOBBY roots: While Prabowo was living at Kertanegara, the street cat came to his residence looking for food, just like countless other stray cats. But something about $BOBBY caught Prabowo’s attention, and he decided to adopt him, earning the name BOBBY Kertanegara.

Now, with Prabowo soon to be president, the question on everyone’s mind is: will $BOBBY move to the palace?

The Istana is Indonesia’s presidential residence, much like the White House in the United States. In several interviews, Prabowo has confirmed that $BOBBY will indeed be moving to the Istana. BOBBY Kertanegara has already become a social media sensation, boasting nearly 500K followers on Instagram and 300K on TikTok. Given Indonesia's thriving cat community — including the Indonesian Cat Association ([ica.or.id](https://ica.or.id/)) — it’s no surprise that $BOBBY is now part of the meme coin world.
